Red Monk Statues in Coal Harbour

These fellows appeared in front of the Westin Hotel the other day in Coal Harbour.

I think there are five or six of them meditating in a circle. Tourists are all over so its hard to take a clean group photo.

There isn't a name for this yet or an explanation.

First exhibited during the G-8 summit meeting in Germany in 2007 where world leaders held a "meeting"., the placing of the gigures in static sitting positions whith cupped hands is not without irony nor historical and cultural sgnificance.
